Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I save things for other people to use in order to keep from having to throw them away. Here are just a few things your readers can save and give to others:

My town doesn’t recycle plastic foam. So I wash and give the meat trays to the art teacher at our local middle school. She uses them for all kinds of things.

Teachers can always use empty bath-tissue and paper-towel rolls for making book reports or art activities.

The local humane society or veterinarians or an area wildlife center can use any extra old blankets and towels.

I give old, clean worn-out socks to the area wildlife center. They make toys out of them and hang them up in the cages of orphaned baby animals to play with.

Wow! You recycle, reuse and pass on a lot of things. If everyone used just one of your hints, think how much good would come of the effort. - Heloise
