Guys Auctioned Friday

Women, here’s your chance to buy a guy. More than 25 bachelors will be up for bid at the UpTown Friday Night Bachelor Auction on Friday at the Ridpath Hotel.

Each bachelor will come complete with a date package, which can include dinner, dancing, boating on Lake Coeur d’Alene or a romantic picnic.

The event will kick off with a social hour at 6:30 p.m., followed by The Dating Game at 7:30 p.m.

Three women from the audience will play the game with one of the bachelors.

After the game, there will be a runway fashion show featuring the bachelors wearing their “workday” outfits. The live auction will begin at 8:30 p.m.

A silent auction of profiles of bachelors who could not attend the live auction will also be held during the evening.

Proceeds will benefit the Mirabeau Point Youth Project and the Washington Senior Olympics. The money raised will provide seed money for a Youth Technology Center that Mirabeau Point hopes to establish in the Spokane Valley Mall, says organizer Lynn Wallace.
