If you think that having a glass slider prevents you from installing a pet door, you’ve got it all wrong.

Pet-Dor Deluxe Patio Panels, from Johnson Pet-Dor Patio Panels, are no-cut-to-fit patio slider panels that attach to most any sliding door and are available in three sizes to fit cats to really big bowsers.

The panels come with a spring tension, self-adjusting top section so that you can adjust the panel to fit the size of the existing door.

Two workshops on “Sustainable Wildcrafting of Medicinal Plants” will be sponsored by the Friends of the Trees Society near Northport, Wash.

The seven-day course is June 25-July 1; a two-day workshop will be given June 28-29. The focus is gathering botanicals for personal use and the facilitator is Michael Pilarski, founder of the Society and editor of “Restoration Forestry: An International Guide to Sustainable Forestry Practices.”

A discussion about organic gardening will be conducted by master gardener Bright Spirit, Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Valley Huckleberry’s Fresh Market, 15510 E. Sprague.

Spirit is the biologist at Tolstoy Farms, a Davenport, Wash., organic farm.
