Dear Heloise: Here’s a hot tip for all the people who own baby pools.

Rather than draining and refilling the pool to rid it of the bugs and dirt that collect on the top, here’s an easy way to clean the pool as well as save water and time. Take an old pair of pantyhose and cut them to about the size of a footsie. Stretch the open end wide and use it to scoop up all the bugs and dirt. The bugs stay in and the water drains out.

When finished, turn the stocking inside out, hose off and it’s ready for the next use. - Stephanie, New Orleans xxxx
