Skins Sign Hostetler

Compiled From Wire Services

Quarterback Jeff Hostetler signed a three-year, $3 million contract with the Washington Redskins and will be formally introduced by team officials at a news conference this afternoon at Redskin Park.

Hostetler became a free agent Tuesday afternoon when he was released by the Oakland Raiders.

Jeff Herrod, the leading tackler for the Indianapolis Colts in seven of the last eight NFL seasons, had his contract terminated by the team to provide some salary cap relief.

Wide receiver Andre Rison, saying he’s finally found a home after a troubled odyssey through five NFL teams, signed a two-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.

The daughter of NFL Hall of Fame kicker Jan Stenerud has been charged in Kansas City, Mo., with participating in a large cocaine conspiracy. Klancy J. Stenerud, 25, was arrested Tuesday and appeared in federal court before being released on $15,000 unsecured bond.
