Mr. And Mrs. Meier Newport, Wash.

Walter and Helen Meier, Newport, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary June 8 with an open house at the Longhorn Barbecue Ranch House.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses: Toni and Andy Pille, Espanola, Wash; and Dave and Lilly Meier, and Mollie and Bill Weis, all of Spokane.

The Meiers were married May 29, 1947, in Superior, Mont. They have five grandchildren and one greatg-randchild.
