Man Hospitalized After Truck Crash

A 28-year-old Post Falls man was hospitalized Sunday after his truck hit a concrete barrier and flipped on Interstate 90.

Rodney Makuch was driving westbound near the Sherman Street exit when his truck hit a barrier on the right side of the road around 2 a.m., Idaho State Police reported.

The 1978 Chevy flipped and Makuch may have been partially ejected and dragged as the truck skidded about 600 feet, ISP said.

Makuch was taken to Kootenai Medical Center where he is in serious condition. Alcohol was involved in the accident, the report said.
