No. 20 College of Charleston Cougars (27-2) moved a game closer to the men’s NCAA Tournament, rolling past visiting Southeastern Louisiana 93-63 in the semis of the Trans America Athletic Conference to extend the country’s longest winning streak to 21 games. The Ragin’ Cajuns fell to 10-18.
Arizona State senior center Rodger Farrington, needing three blocked shots to break the Pacific-10 Conference men’s basketball record, has a broken left hand and will miss the Sun Devils’ remaining three games, starting with today’s matchup against Washington State.
Farrington, averaging 9.5 points, 7.1 rebounds and 4.1 blocks per game, was injured during Thursday night’s 72-69 loss to Washington.
