UI assistant resigns
Angie Miller, an assistant basketball coach at the University of Idaho since 1994, resigned her coaching position, university officials announced Thursday.
Miller, the mother of 10-month old Ryan, plans to pursue other interests in addition to spending more time with her family.
“I want a change,” said Miller, who is looking at the possibility of a tryout with a WNBA team. “Being a new mom and all that, I want to spend more time with my son.”
Head coach Julie Holt said Miller will be missed. “She helped develop this program,” Holt said of Miller, a former Washington State University standout as a player. “She did a real good job with the players. She had a great sense of humor.”
Prior to the 1996-97 season, Miller was honored as a member of Washington State’s Pacific-10 Conference All-Decade team.
