Big Bend Sweeps Pair From Ccs

Life on the road continued to be a pain for Community Colleges of Spokane Tuesday as the Sasquatch dropped an NWACC baseball doubleheader to Big Bend Community College in Pendleton, Ore.

Big Bend won the opener 6-4 and took the second game 5-2, despite being outhit by CCS 12-9. The Sasquatch, who lost a doubleheader at Walla Walla last Sunday, fell to 14-16 overall and 11-9 in the NWACC.

WSU’s Clements moves up

Washington State’s Sean Clements shot a two-over-par 74 at Eugene (Ore.) Country Club and moved into a tie for 25th in the medalist race of the Pacific-10 Conference Men’s Golf Championships.

Clements has a a 54-hole total of 222 heading into today’s final round. The Cougars, however, remained mired in 10th place in the team standings, 74 strokes behind first-place Arizona State.
