Dear Heloise: I always find long wads of cotton when I open new bottles of vitamins. I tear the cotton into little pieces and roll them into cotton balls. I put them in a plastic bag and keep them with my nail polish and polish remover. They are always at my fingertips when I need them and are recycled to boot! - Linda Patrick, Houston

Dear Heloise: I thought I would share my easy way to clean miniblinds. Drive a couple of nails in the upper portion of your backyard fence and hang the blinds on the nails. Spray with your favorite cleaner, twist the wand to spray the other side, allow the cleaner a few minutes to do its thing, then rinse off with the hose.
