Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: I have a small silk and dried floral arrangement business. To make my business cards colorful and interesting, I cut the flowers from greeting cards, tissue boxes and such and attach my address and phone number on them. - Marilyn Waxman, Cranbury, N.J.

Dear Heloise: I am as big a coupon buff as most, but I hate blocking aisles in a busy grocery store trying to find one coupon out of a hundred. So what I do is take a little extra time the evening before I go shopping to list on paper my coupons and their value, which also constitutes most of my shopping list.

I take only the coupons I need and that in turn prevents compulsive buying. I put them in an envelope and never have to take them out until I’m through shopping.

I just glance at my list as I move along each aisle and cross off each item as I put it in my cart. - Erma Thomas, Greenbrier, Ark.
