Lcsc Graduates 82 At Cda Center

From Staff And Wire Reports

A record number of students graduated this month from Lewis-Clark State College’s Coeur d’Alene Outreach Center.

Those 82 graduates account for more than 20 percent of LCSC’s total of 534 bachelor’s degree recipients. Most are at the main campus in Lewiston.

The Coeur d’Alene graduates were honored at a Friday Awards banquet. Among them were 23 who earned business degrees, 17 from the nursing program, and 14 who studied social work.

Also honored were the first group of graduates from LCSC’s center in DeSmet, which is offered in conjunction with the Coeur d’Alene Tribe. The students, who majored in management, were Brenda Abraham, John Abraham, Victoria Abraham, Timmy Clark and Megan Harding.

Both LCSC President Jim Hottois and tribal chairman Ernie Stensgar spoke at the banquet.

Susan Falck, a graduate of the social work program, was named winner of the Provost’s Award.

Falck in turn gave special recognition to outreach center director Rodney Frey for his leadership, and to Edwin Hutchison, coordinator of the social work program in Coeur d’Alene. , DataTimes
