Xplosion Too Much For Reign

Crystal Robinson scored 21 points and Vicki Hall added 18 to lead the Colorado Xplosion to an 88-84 win over the Seattle Reign Saturday night in Denver.

Colorado led by as many as 20 points early in the fourth quarter before Seattle (5-10) made a run, closing to within four points.

Seattle made six of seven 3-point shots in the final minutes, including five in the last 3:08. Sholanda Enis paced the Reign with 19 points.

Sheri Sam scored seven of her game-high 21 points in a 15-5 run to start the fourth quarter as San Jose defeated New England in Hartford, Conn.

The Blizzard (7-6) rallied from an 11-0 deficit to take a 44-41 lead on Shanda Berry’s jumper with 5:15 left in the third quarter. But after New England guard Jennifer Rizzotti sprained her left ankle, San Jose took the lead before falling back into a 55-55 tie to end the quarter.
