Duke Romps Over Army
College basketball
Mike Krzyzewski’s homecoming was just what everyone thought it would be.
The Duke coach had an enjoyable weekend back at West Point, his alma mater and former employer, and his third-ranked Blue Devils looked very impressive in a 78-45 victory over Army on Sunday.
The season opener for both schools was supposed to be a blowout for Duke and the Blue Devils used it as a chance to show off their depth, defensive prowess and heralded freshman class.
The game was also the Army coaching debut for Pat Harris, a point guard under Krzyzewski at West Point.
