Maradona Proposes Another Comeback
Diego Maradona says he may resurrect his soccer career at the age of 37 in Mexico - if doctors say his life is not at risk.
Maradona, a confessed cocaine addict, said he would seek expert advice this week. If the outcome is positive, he said he would maybe sign for America de Mexico.
The former Argentina captain announced the latest in a long line of retirements in October amid reports he failed a drug test. He also said he had also quit because his father had expressed fears about his health if he continued playing, given his drug habit.
Maradona has served a pair of 15-month suspensions following failed drug tests. A judge has ruled he can continue playing during an investigation into the player’s claim that someone had tampered with his urine sample.
