Creative Solutions Fills Executive Post

Pentzer Corp. has hired a Chicago-based software executive to direct its Creative Solutions Group.

Terry Redding will remain in the Midwest city while he oversees 11 separate companies located on both coasts and as far north as Minneapolis, as far south as Miami.

Pentzer, the holding company for Washington Water Power Co.’s non-utility operations, is headquartered in Spokane. Assets exceed $240 million, of which Creative Solutions represents about 25 percent.

Group companies design and manufacture in-store displays and other marketing services for a clientele that includes Mattel, Disney, Kodak and Nabisco.

Pentzer President Dick Davis said Follett was hired to improve coordination among the growing, wide-ranging companies.

Creative Solutions had the largest display at last week’s POPAI Marketplace, a trade show for point-of-sale advertisers, he said.

Redding has been marketing director for Follett Software Co., a maker of educational software.
