Hints From Heloise

King Features Syndicate

Dear Heloise: When you start replacing your sheets and towels from white sales, I would like to offer my idea of recycling.

I take all worn towels from both bathrooms and cut them for kitchen towels, my husband’s workbench or wherever needed. You can hem them, add lace or just cut with pinking shears and don’t hem. They also make good dust towels, especially the worn ones. - M., Houston

Old towels and sheets are fantastic to recycle. They are so soft and can be used for so many things.

If you aren’t up to redoing sheets and towels, please think about passing them on to your animal shelter or veterinarian. - Heloise
