Water Tank To Get New Roof

From Staff And Wire Reports

A construction crew has finished improving an access road to the Tubbs Hill water tank, clearing the way for work on the roof.

The 1905-era water tank has a timber roof covered with aluminum siding. The wood is in poor condition, making repairs increasingly difficult, according to Jim Markley, city water superintendent.

The new roof will be concrete. Work on the roof begins today.
