4 Added To World Cup

Argentina, Bulgaria, Colombia and Paraguay qualified for the 1998 World Cup and England moved past Italy to set up a dramatic game against the Italians in Rome next month to determine the winner in their group.

Argentina (8-2-4), which leads South American qualifying, won 2-1 at Chile. Colombia (8-4-3) beat visiting Venezuela 1-0 and remained in second place. Third-place Paraguay (8-4-2) won 2-1 against visiting Bolivia 2-1.

Thirteen nations have qualified for the 32-nation field for next summer’s tournament in France.

In Europe, Bulgaria (6-1) clinched Group Five by beating visiting Russia 1-0.
