Obituaries

Harold Milton Troy, Idaho

Graveside service for Harold K. Milton, 84, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Burnt Ridge Cemetery near Troy. Short’s Funeral Chapel in Moscow, Idaho is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Milton, who was born in Republic, Wash, died Wednesday.

He graduated from Troy High School in 1931.

Mr. Milton worked at a local hardware store until 1942 when he enlisted in the Coast Guard. In 1945 he was honorably discharged.

In 1946 he married Nancy Nelson in Rathdrum.

They moved to Garfield and ran the Garfield-Union Warehouse until 1951.

Mr. Milton moved back to Troy and owned Milton Bros. Hardware, retiring in 1978.

He served on the Troy Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years and was a founding member of the American Legion Post in Troy.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Terry Milton of Moscow; two brothers, Carl Milton of Clarkston, Wash., and Vernon Luther of Moscow; and three grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to Troy Volunteer Fire Department or Latah Health Services.

Anthony Sadusky Spokane

Graveside service for Anthony F. Sadusky, 76, will be at 3 p.m. today at Riverside Memorial Park. Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Sadusky, who was born Duryea, Pa., died Tuesday.

He served in the Army during World War II and the Air Force during the Korean and Vietnam wars.

His wife, Ruth, died in 1979.

He was a 40-year Spokane resident and was a member of Audubon Masonic Lodge, Eagles Lodge No. 2 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Mr. Sadusky is survived by a daughter, Victoria Sadusky of Spokane; two brothers, Chester Sadowski of Chicago and Bernard Sadowski of Indiana; two sisters, Tessie Lutrzykowski of Garden City, Mich., and Sophie Janiczek of Taylor, Mich.

Larry Browne Spokane

Service for Larry S. Browne, 54, will be at 10 a.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-South. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.

Mr. Browne, who was born in Wittenberg, Wis., died Tuesday.

He was a 20-year Spokane resident and worked as a laborer in the construction industry.

He was a member of the Hochunk Native American Tribe of Ashland, Wis., and was a Vietnam War Army veteran.

Survivors include an uncle; Leroy Browne and an aunt, Mary Stone, both of Wittenberg.

Arthur Manger Sr. Deer Park

Private service for Arthur H. Manger Sr., 79, was held.

Mr. Manger, who died Wednesday, was born Glendale, Calif.

He worked as a mechanic and operating engineer.

He was a World War II veteran.

He was a member of Baldwin Park Masonic Lodge 665 and was a 32nd degree Mason. He was also a member of the Shrine Temple of Las Vegas and the Operating Engineers. Mr. Manger was a resident of Deer Park for more than 19 years.

Survivors include his wife, Bertha; a son, Arthur Manger Jr. of Spokane; a daughter, Connie Castle of Spokane; a stepson, John Huyett of Ontario, Calif.; a stepdaughter, Karolyn Beaman of Spokane; a sister, Grace Horner of Hawthorne, Calif.; a brother, Robert Manger of Watsonville, Calif.; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Rolland Zura Spokane

No service will be held for Rolland Zura, 68, at his request.

Mr. Zura, who was born in Marblehead, Ohio, died Sunday.

He was a 25-year Spokane resident and worked in the construction industry for many years. He retired in 1992.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Helene.

Mr. Zura is survived by two daughters, Lisa Brackett of Bothell, Wash., and Celeste Cobb of Las Vegas; a son, Zachary Zura of Montrose, Colo.; a sister, Vernita Kiddie of Santee, Calif.; four grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.

Emily Fisher Spokane

Visitation for Emily C. Fisher, 86, will be from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Graveside service will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Fisher, who was born in Coeur d’Alene, died Wednesday.

She moved to Spokane from Coeur d’Alene in 1926.

Mrs. Fisher worked at the Palace Department Store as a sales clerk and then at Meredith and Goselin Warehouse as a stockperson.

Two husbands preceded her in death, George Bozarth died in 1939, and Pat Fisher died in 1979.

Survivors include four daughters, Barbara Barshini of San Jose, Calif., Patricia Adkins of Spokane, Sheldeen Solverson of Nine Mile Falls and Mary Lee Endicott of Monett, Mich.; 14 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

Samuel Davis Green Bluff

Service for Samuel A. “Sam” Davis, 76, will be at 10 a.m. today at St. Peter Lutheran Church. Burial will follow at Peone Prairie Cemetery. Riplinger Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Davis, who was born in Newport, Wash., died Wednesday.

He was a farmer in the area for many years and was a World War II Army veteran.

He was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church, the Disabled American Veterans, Blind Veterans of America and the Green Bluff Grange.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Violet; a daughter, Judy of Kennewick; three sisters, Joyce Horsman of Mead, Ruth Wegeleben of Chattaroy, Wash., and Florence Aylsworth of Spokane; four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Wilma (Storey) Wisted Spokane

Private family burial for Wilma M. (Storey) Wisted, 81, was Tuesday at Fairmount Memorial Park.

Mrs. Wisted, who was born at Spokane Bridge, died Sept. 6.

She was a graduate of Lewis and Clark High School.

In 1976, she retired from School District 81 as a secretary. She had worked at Hamilton and Roosevelt schools.

Mrs. Wisted received an honorary state life membership in the Washington Congress of Parents and Teachers in 1959.

She is survived by her husband of 33 years, Albert; two sons, Roger and Russ Storey, both of Spokane; a daughter, Joyce McEachran of Spokane; eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Julia Hundley Chewelah, Wash.

Service for Julia Jean Hundley, 77, is set for 10 a.m. Monday at St. Mary of the Rosary Catholic Church in Chewelah. Burial will follow at Chewelah Memorial Park.

Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Chewelah is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Patterson, Calif., Mrs. Hundley died Wednesday.

She was a homemaker and had lived in Chewelah for 28 years.

Her husband, Edward, died in 1979.

Mrs. Hundley was a member of St. Mary of the Rosary Catholic Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Loretta Quintero of Carpinteria, Calif.; a sister, Ann Worster of Jerome, Idaho; and three grandchildren.

Edward Hamilton Colfax

Service for Edward Frank Hamilton, 85, will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Bruning Funeral Home in Colfax, Wash. Burial will follow at Endicott (Wash.) Cemetery.

Mr. Hamilton, who was born on Union Flat, Wash., died Wednesday.

He married Mildred Johnson in 1934.

Mr. Hamilton worked as an electrician in Whitman County and then at the Bremerton shipyards for two years. He returned to Endicott and continued working as electrician. He later began operating the family farm and retired in 1979.

Mr. Hamilton was a member of the Endicott Grain Growers.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Clarence Hamilton of Colfax; a daughter, Vivian Harder of Kahlotus, Wash.; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
