Libby Teen Center To Hold Dance

Imagine dancing the night away to Smash Velvet, Felix and The Junkets and not needing to be 21. You can at the Libby Teen Center dance Sept. 20. Doors open at 8 p.m. No one over 19 admitted without a teen. IDs required. The Libby Teen Center is located at the corner of Haven and First.

Spend a year studying in the Czech Republic. Apply now for a special academic scholarship offered by the AYUSA International. The scholarship is for the 1998-99 school year and includes cultural experiences, placement with an Italian host family and enrollment in a local high school.

Design a Web site for high school art works and win a $500 scholarship to Eastern Washington University.

The winning Web site will be part of the school’s “Visual Arts at Eastern” homepage, which will display selected high school art throughout each year. Web design entries are due Dec. 1.

Designs may be submitted on disk or in hard copy with supporting visuals such as 35 mm color slides and original artwork that would be electronically scanned to be integrated on the homepage.
