Karla Nearing became the bride of Patrick Norton in a July 26 ceremony at St. John Vianney Roman Catholic Church.

The bride is the daughter of Marie Nearing, Moscow, Idaho, and the late Gary Nearing. Larry and Jackie Horton, Spokane, are the parents of the groom.

A reception at the Ridpath Hotel followed the ceremony. The Hortons are living in Liberty Lake and will honeymoon later.
