Fleisher Leads B.C. Open

Bruce Fleisher shot a 6-under-par 66 for a share of the second-round lead in the B.C. Open in Endicott, N.Y. Fleisher’s bogey-free round tied him with Grant Waite and Jim McGovern at 8-under 136.

A 7-under-par 65 gave Wendy Ward, 24, a one-shot lead over Liselotte Neumann after the second round of the Fieldcrest Cannon Classic in Cornelius, N.C. Cristie Kerr, 19, tied Trish Johnson’s course record with a 64, and is two shots back. Clarkston’s Robin Walton shot a 70 and is eight back at 139.

Vicente Fernandez tied a tournament record with a first-round, 7-under-par 63, his best on the Senior PGA Tour, and took a one-shot lead in the Emerald Coast Classic in Milton, Fla.
