Prosecutor Runs For District Judge

Kootenai County Prosecutor Bill Douglas is seeking a seat on the 1st District Court bench.

Douglas, in the second year of his third term as prosecutor, is challenging Judge James Michaud. He was on vacation Friday and could not be reached for comment.

Michaud has served 11 years as a judge. He won re-election in 1994 over then-Boundary County Prosecutor Randall Day.
