Sandpoint Appoints Lamson Treasurer

From Staff

The city of Sandpoint appointed Sandra J. Lamson as its new treasurer. She replaces Larry Chapin who abruptly resigned without an explanation in January. Chapin had worked for the city for nearly 10 years.

Lamson is currently the deputy treasurer for the city of Coeur d’Alene. She has a degree from Eastern Washington University in accounting.

“I believe Ms. Lamson will be an asset to the city of Sandpoint. She has served the city of Coeur d’Alene with distinction and will continue that level of quality professionalism here,” Mayor David Sawyer said.

Lamson will earn about $42,000 annually. Her appointment was confirmed by the City Council on Wednesday.
