Steven Drury And Takagi Pair Up

Travis Rivers

Spokane-born pianist Steven Drury returns to his hometown with his wife Yukiko Takagi to perform a duo-piano program at The Met Tuesday. Drury, who now lives in Boston, has established an international reputation for his performances of cutting-edge contemporary music as well as for standard piano classics by Beethoven, Liszt and Debussy.

Drury and Takagi will perform Stravinsky’s two-piano transcription of his ballet “Rite of Spring,” in addition to music by Claude Debussy, Colin McPhee and Morton Feldman.

The concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday and tickets are $15, available at Rogers High School, Street Music and through G&B.
