Elsewhere in the GSL, Cheryl Andrizzi pitched a five-inning one-hitter and Jen Madsen scored three times as University (9-1, 8-0) defeated visiting North Central 10-0 to preserve its two-game hold on first place.

Nicki Meyer added an RBI double for the Titans, who are riding a 25-game league winning streak. NC is 1-8, 1-7.

Colleen Melody, Jenny Lytle and Justine Ruddell all tripled as visiting Ferris (4-6, 4-4) defeated Lewis and Clark 7-2 at Hart Field to tie the Tigers (4-5, 4-4) for fifth place.

Two walks helped the Saxons to a five-run fifth. The Tigers’ Janna Evans had three hits.

Held in conjunction with the Washington State Women’s Bowling Association Tournament, which resumes this weekend at North Bowl and Silver Lanes, the Queen’s qualifies its champion for the national tournament.

The field will bowl six games starting at 10 a.m. today. The top 36 bowl at 7:30 p.m. to pare the field to 16 for Sunday’s windup. A double-elimination roll-off begins at 10 a.m. Sunday to determine the champion.
