Spokane Suspect Also Sought In Cda

From Staff

A man wanted in connection with a Spokane bank robbery last week also has been identified as a suspect in a weekend robbery in Coeur d’Alene, police said.

Employees at First Security Bank identified Kevin William Carr, 29, as the man who robbed the Ironwood Drive branch Saturday afternoon, police said. A man who handed a teller a note demanding specific denominations of money and lifted his shirt to reveal a pistol robbed the bank branch about 12:10 p.m.

The robber fled the bank in a black Honda with an undisclosed amount of money.

Carr also has been named as a suspect in a north Spokane bank robbery last Thursday. The Seafirst Bank branch on east Olympic Avenue was robbed about 11 a.m. by a man who implied he was armed.

A bank security camera took photographs of the robber and police used that photo to connect Carr to the Coeur d’Alene robbery.

Carr is 6 feet 2 inches tall, 175 pounds with short brown hair and eyes.

Secret Witness, a Spokane civilian organization not affiliated with law enforcement, is offering a cash reward for information that leads to Carr’s arrest for the Spokane robbery.

Anyone with information about Carr’s whereabouts is asked to call the Coeur d’Alene Police Department at 769-2290 or Secret Witness at (509) 327-5111.
