For some film fans, it is cinematic heresy to ever “update” a classic. And such a classic is “The Parent Trap,” Disney’s 1961 children’s film that introduced Hayley Mills to a legion of love-sick adolescents. Nancy Meyers not only has directed such a remake, but she’s improved on the original. She expanded the story, and she cast talented Lindsay Lohan in the dual roles of twins separated at birth, creating a treat for all ages.
