Fox Changes Schedule For Post-Season Baseball

Fox has delayed the debut of its new drama “Brimstone” until Oct. 27 to avoid a clash with post-season baseball.

The series featuring Peter Horton was originally scheduled to launch Oct. 6 from 9-10 p.m. and would have been bumped from the lineup after just two weeks because of Major League Baseball playoffs coverage. Instead, the network will air its summer series “Guinness World Records: Primetime” in the 9-10 p.m. slot on those nights not affected by baseball until “Brimstone” debuts.

Fox also announced that the sixth season of “The X-Files” will begin Nov. 8 in its regular 9-10 p.m. Sunday slot.

On the preceding Sunday, Nov. 1, the network has scheduled the broadcast TV premiere of “The Lost World: Jurassic Park.” The network paid $80 million to secure broadcast rights to the Steven Spielberg adventure ahead of premium cable companies.

But the network remained mute on the future of “Hollyweird,” the drama that is said to be having production difficulties.
