Edwin Wenrick Spokane
Funeral for Edwin W. Wenrick, 72, will be at 10:30 a.m. today at Heritage Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Born in Tekoa, Wash., Mr. Wenrick died Monday.
He graduated from Rogers High School and served in the Navy during World War II.
Mr. Wenrick was an asbestos worker in the commercial pipe insulation industry.
He was a co-founder and leader of the Enjoy Life Family Church and a member of the Asbestos Worker’s Local 82 for many years.
Survivors include three daughters, Carolyn and Catherine Wenrick, both of Spokane and Susan Teutscher of Spanaway, Wash.; two sons, Robert Wenrick of Spokane and Edward Wenrick of Highland Park, Ill.; 13 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Frederick McKinley Cheney
Graveside service for Frederick N. McKinley, 85, will be at 2 p.m. today at the Lance Hill Cemetery in Cheney. Cheney Funeral Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McKinley, who was born in Mesa, Wash., died Sunday.
He graduated from Tyler High School in 1931 and married Ida Showalter in 1933.
Mr. McKinley was a wheat farmer and cattleman in the Amber Lake area.
He was a member and past master of the Cheney Masonic Lodge, and was a member of the Amber Grange, Spokane County Cattleman’s Association and the Cheney Grain Growers Association. He also served on the Amber School Board for 10 years and was a commissioner for Spokane County Fire District 3 for 10 years.
Mr. McKinley was instrumental in the building of the Cheney Care Center, and played in a dance band and the Amber Orchestra for 25 years.
Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Lois Merrill of Cheney; a son, Ronald McKinley of Camino Island, Wash.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Harold Bauer Sr. Spokane
Funeral for Harold J. Bauer Sr., 77, will be at 1:30 p.m. today at Ball and Dodd Funeral Home-North. Burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
Mr. Bauer, who was born in New York, died Monday.
He served in the Army tank division in Normandy during World War II.
He returned to New York after the war and began working as an aircraft cleaner in the maintenance department for American Airlines.
Mr. Bauer retired in 1975 and moved to Spokane in 1976.
He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
Survivors include two sons, William and Buddy Bauer, both of Spokane; four daughters, Kathleen Chase, Mary Ann Rivers and Dolores Bauer, all of Spokane, and Margaret Roberts of Plummer, Idaho; a brother, Al Bauer of Long Island, N.Y.; a sister, Dottie Jones of New Jersey; 12 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
Michael Primmer Coeur d’Alene
Visitation for Michael Jay Primmer, 48, will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Yates Funeral Home in Coeur d’Alene. Service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at Mountain View Bible Church in Post Falls. Burial will follow at Coeur d’Alene Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Primmer, who was born in Spokane, was killed in an auto accident near Honeysuckle Beach in Hayden, Idaho, Tuesday.
He graduated from high school in Tekoa, Wash., and was an Eagle Scout.
Mr. Primmer received a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Washington University and served with the Army as an airborne medic in Vietnam.
He moved to St. Maries in 1975 and was a farmer, real estate broker and financial advisor before moving to Coeur d’Alene in 1991.
Mr. Primmer was a member of the St. Maries Masonic Lodge, the Scottish Rite, Coeur d’Alene Shrine Club and the Calam Shrine Temple of Lewiston.
Survivors include his wife of 27 years, Candace; a son, Nicholas Primmer, and a daughter, Sabrina Funderburg, both of Coeur d’Alene; his mother, Ann Primmer of Tekoa; two sisters, Pegi Freeman of Kingston, Idaho, and Valerie Day of Nine Mile Falls; and his grandmother, Elva Cronk of Worley, Idaho.

Joseph Giordanetto Spokane
Vigil for Joseph “Joe” Giordanetto, 75, will be at 7 p.m. today at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Funeral Mass is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Burial will be at Holy Cross Cemetery.
Mr. Giordanetto, who was born in Marseille, France, died Tuesday.
He served in the French underground forces in World War II and came to America in 1949.
Mr. Giordanetto moved to Spokane in 1955 and worked as a molder for a steel foundry.
He was a member of St. Peter’s Parish.
Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Marie; two daughters, Joan Zimmer of Spokane and Judy Rickel; three sisters, Germaine Bruce of Spokane, Georgette Ellis of Coeur d’Alene and Jeanette Bieze of Chicago; three brothers, George Jonas of Spokane, Joe Jonas of Coeur d’Alene and Bill Jonas of Athol, Idaho; and two granddaughters.

Frances Swiger Ford, Wash.
Rosary for Frances A. Swiger, 52, will be at 7 p.m. today at St. Phillips Benzi Catholic Church in Ford. Funeral is planned for 10 a.m. Saturday at the church. Burial will be at the Herbert Cemetery in Ford. Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash., is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Swiger, who died Monday, was born in Davenport.
She graduated from Hunters (Wash.) High School and worked as an accountant for the Spokane Tribal Agency.
Survivors include three sons, Franklin, John and Dale Swiger, and two daughters, Cindy and Rebecca Swiger, all of Ford; a brother, Don Hughes of Fruitland, Wash.; three sisters, Mildred Lopp of Spanaway, Wash., Marlene Hughes of Fruitland and Sherry Stearns of Wellpinit, Wash.; and seven grandchildren.
Earl Olmstead Spokane
Funeral for Earl Victor Olmstead, 82, will be at 10 a.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Fairmount Memorial Park.
A 55-year Spokane resident, Mr. Olmstead died Monday. He was born in Van Hook, S.D.
He served in the military during World War II in Europe and Africa, receiving the Purple Heart.
Mr. Olmstead was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Eagles Lodge.
His wife, Aagot, died in 1994.
Survivors include a daughter, Robbie Wilson of Battleground, Wash.; three stepchildren; and three sisters, Edna Peterson of Minnesota, Winnie Bowman of Texas and Inez Boyland of Florida.
Iona (Watson) Farrell Colbert
Visitation for Iona May (Watson) Farrell, 80, will be from noon to 8 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Memorial service is planned for 1 p.m. Saturday at the Colbert Chapel. Private burial will be at Peone Prairie Cemetery.
A 36-year Colbert resident, Mrs. Farrell died Sunday. She was born in Coeur d’Alene.
She grew up in the Mica Peak area and later worked as a meat wrapper at Hillard Lockers. She retired from Safeway Stores, Inc.
Mrs. Farrell was a member of the Colbert Chapel.
Survivors include her husband Tom; two sons, David Watson of Chattaroy and Philip Coolbough of Santa Paula, Calif.; a stepson, Larry Watson of Des Moines, Wash.; a sister, Lois Oye of Lewiston; a brother, Lonnie Stratton of Lewiston; a half-sister and four half-brothers; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and five stepgrandchildren.

Laura Marks Spokane
No service will be held for Laura I. Marks, 85, at her request. The Spokane Cremation Society is in charge of arrangements.
A 50-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Marks died Tuesday.
She was born in Fargo, N.D., and after graduating from high school, she worked as a practical nurse for many years.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald and Darrel Hill, both of Spokane, and Harry Hill of Downey, Calif.; and a daughter, Darlene Stickney of Las Vegas.
Catherine Countryman Spokane
Funeral for Catherine May Countryman, 88, will be at 1 p.m. today at Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home. Burial will be at Riverside Memorial Park.
A lifetime Spokane resident, Mrs. Countryman died Monday.
She was a homemaker and a member of First Church of the Open Bible.
Survivors include her husband of 71 years, Elmer; a daughter, Arlene White of Spokane; two sons, Robert Countryman of Sequim, Wash., and Ronald Countryman of Pocatello, Idaho; a sister, Edith Lawrence of Port Orchard, Wash.; seven grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Kathleen Allert Rosalia, Wash.
Visitation for Kathleen Allert, 68, will be from noon to 9 p.m. today at Schanzenbach Funeral Home in Rosalia. Memorial service is planned for 11 a.m. Saturday at the Rosalia United Methodist Church. Private family burial at the International Order of Odd Fellows Evergreen Cemetery in Rosalia will precede the service.
Mrs. Allert, who was born in Rosalia, died Tuesday.
She attended Whitworth College and the Deaconess School of Nursing and volunteered for the Deaconess Hospital Auxiliary from the late 1970s until 1990.
Mrs. Allert was a member of the Rosalia United Methodist Church, Malden (Wash.) Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star, Whitman County Daughters of the Nile and the Plaza Grange.
Survivors include her husband, Maurice; four sons, Wayne, Jay and David Allert, all of Spokane, and Bruce Allert of Rosalia; a sister, Barbara Willey of Rosalia; and six grandchildren.

Herb Pierce Spokane
Visitation for Herb Pierce, 86, will be from noon to 6 p.m. today, Saturday and Sunday at Heritage Funeral Home. Funeral is planned for 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. Private burial will follow at Greenwood Memorial Terrace.
Mr. Pierce, who was born in Wapato, Wash., died Tuesday.
He graduated from Wapato High School, where he was involved in athletics.
Mr. Pierce owned and operated several orchards in the Yakima Valley area for more than 40 years. He moved to Spokane 17 years ago.
He was a member of the Yakima Elks Lodge 318 and a member of the International Order of Odd Fellows, Yakima Country Club and the Palm Desert (Calif.) Country Club.
Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Merle; a son, James Felber of Olympia; two daughters, Kristin Largent of Spokane and Linda Felber of Seattle; six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Elmer Rhodes Spokane
Private memorial service for Elmer G. Rhodes, 86, will be held at a later date. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Rhodes, who was born in Kansas City, Kan., died Tuesday.
He moved to the Northwest and began working for Boeing during World War II.
In 1946 Mr. Rhodes began working for Greyhound Bus Lines and retired in 1975.
Mr. Rhodes moved to Spokane in 1981.
He was a member of the Greyhound Retirement Club.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years, Caroline; two daughters, Judy Ruark of Rockford and Joy Woodward of Snohomish, Wash.; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Terrance Allbee Spokane
Memorial service for Terrance D. Allbee, 51, will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hennessey-Smith Funeral Home. Private burial will be at Spokane Memorial Gardens.
A 49-year Spokane resident, Mr. Allbee died Monday. He was born in Sandpoint.
He worked as a sales manager for Culligan Soft Water Service.
Mr. Allbee was a member of the Eagles Lodge and belonged to several bowling leagues in Spokane.
Survivors include his companion, Renee Wendt of Spokane; a son, Travis Allbee of Yakima; a daughter, Tamara Haught of Spokane; his parents, Chet and Alice Allbee of Spokane; a sister, Karlyn Boppell of Bel Air, Calif.; and two grandchildren.

Lois Miller Spokane
Memorial service for Lois I. Miller, 73, was Wednesday at Strate Funeral Home in Davenport, Wash.
Mrs. Miller, who was born in Fruitland, Wash., died Sunday.
She graduated from high school, and was a homemaker and a care-giver for the elderly.
Mrs. Miller moved to Spokane 10 years ago.
Her husband, Boyd, died in 1986.
Survivors include two sons, Dale Burke of Fruitland; and Iver Burke of Sante Fe, N.M.; two sisters, Laura Holland of Kettle Falls, Wash., and May Picard of Nespelem, Wash.; five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchidlren.
Stephanie (Rogich) O’Brien Priest Lake, Idaho
Graveside service for Stephanie Irene (Rogich) O’Brien, 57, will be at 1 p.m. Monday at the Metaline (Wash.) Cemetery. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. O’Brien, who was born in Ione, Wash., died Monday. She was 57.
She graduated from high school and served with the Air Force.
Mrs. O’Brien had been a Post Falls resident since 1967, and moved to Priest Lake three years ago.
Survivors include her husband of 30 years, Dennis; a daughter, Teri O’Brien of Portland; and her father, E.L. Rogich of Las Vegas.

Marie Garrison Spokane
Memorial service for Marie Garrison, 83, will be at 3 p.m. Monday at Hazen and Jaeger Valley Funeral Home.
A 60-year Spokane resident, Mrs. Garrison died Wednesday. She was born in Michele, British Columbia.
She was a homemaker and a member of the Sun Dance Golf Association.
Her husband, Frank, preceded her in death.
Survivors include a daughter, Donna Hauf of Spokane; three sons, Gene and Gary Garrison, both of Spokane, and Duane Garrison of Tacoma; a sister, Violet Tibergean of Alberta, Canada; nine grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.

Jesse ‘Bill’ Barbour Spokane
Funeral Mass for Jesse William “Bill” Barbour, 82, will be at noon Sunday in the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. Reception will follow at the Eagles Lodge No. 2. The Cremation Society of Washington is in charge of arrangements.
An 18-year Spokane resident, Mr. Barbour died Monday. He was born in Pekin, Ill.
He served in the Marine Corps during World War II in Guam, Guadalcanal and Okinawa, Japan. he received the Presidential Unit Citation with the 1st Division, 1st Marines, 1st Battalion, C Company.
Mr. Barbour worked for the civil service in Alaska with the Air Force, Army, Weather Bureau and Federal Aviation Administration.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge No. 2, and served as club president in 1993.
Survivors include two sons, Carlos Barbour of Spokane and Jonathan Barbour of Seattle; his former wife, Cecilia Dy of Spokane; three sisters, Dorothy Stone of Comanche, Texas, and Julia Rockhold and Joyce Barbour, both of Pekin.

Hazel Haynes Spokane
Memorial service for Hazel L. Haynes, 78, will be at 9:30 a.m. Dec. 12 at First Presbyterian Church. Heritage Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Haynes, who was born in Centrahoma, Okla., died Monday.
She graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a bachelor of science degree in education.
Mrs. Haynes retired from teaching for Spokane School District 81 after 35 years.
She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, American Association of University Women, Beta Sigma Phi and the Retired Teachers of America.
Survivors include two sons, Ted Haynes of Spokane and Terry Haynes of Aspen, Colo.; two daughters, Cindy Bafus of Redmond, Wash., and Jill Lowe of Olympia; a brother, George Moore of Livingston, Texas; and six grandchildren.
