Nordic skiing

The Mount Spokane SnoPark trails, which have more than 2 feet of snow, are groomed Thursdays through Mondays.

Other SnoPark areas reporting good early-season trail conditions are the Sherman Pass area west of Colville and the Boulder Deer Creek north of Kettle Falls.

The nordic trails in Methow Valley received a great deal of new snow this week and there has been some grooming done in the Sun Mountain area. The North Cascades highway is closed and skiing is also available in the mountain area. For more information, telephone 1-888-4-METHOW.

Snowmobiling

Old Mission State Park in Shoshone county, Methow Valley, and the Okanogan trail areas are reporting that their snowmobiling trails have not been groomed but they should be ready to go in 10-12 days, depending on the snowfall.
