Leslie and Phyllis Yates, Deer Park, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday with a reception at Country Homes Christian Church.

Hosts for the event were their children and spouses: Ken and Jennifer Yates, Seattle; Kathleen and Robert Miller, Cheney; and Dan Yates, Spokane.

The Yates were married Dec. 17, 1948, in Cheney. They have two grandchildren and two stepgrandchildren.
