Falcons Start Fast, Overrun Wildcats

Sprague-Harrington wasted little time putting Wilbur-Creston in a deep hole on Saturday night.

Amanda Scoles had 19 points and 11 rebounds as the Falcons jumped to a 24-point halftime lead and defeated W-C 52-42 in a Bi-County League game at Harrington.

Mandi Walters added six steals and 4-for-4 freethrow shooting for S-H, last year’s sixth-place team at the State B Tournament.

Alyssa Erickson and Leanne Snavely had 10 rebounds apiece for the Wildcats. W-C has placed second at state the last two years.

NWC cut into the Dragons’ 11-point lead as Damiah and DeMecia Casimir combined for 11 points, including three 3-pointers. St. George’s had two late rebounds to clinch the win.
