Golf Tourney Rescheduled
The Pebble Beach National Pro-Am tournament’s third round was rescheduled for March 2 because of rain.
Bad weather has played havoc with the tournament, which was shortened to 54 holes from 72 and had two days almost entirely washed out.
The rescheduled date is one day after the scheduled final round of the Nissan Open in Los Angeles.
Tim Herron and Tom Watson are tied for the lead after two rounds of play with 10-under-par 134s.
The U.S. Golf Association named Barbara McIntire captain of the U.S. women’s team that will compete for the Curtis Cup this year against a team of golfers from Great Britain and Ireland.
