Substitutes Step In For Pro Boxing Card

Larry “The Legend” Donald (30-1-1) will face Levi Billups, of San Diego, tonight at the Coeur d’Alene Tribal Bingo/Casino in Worley, Idaho. The six-bout card begins at 7.

Billups (21-15-1) replaces Steve Pannell (31-3) and Lyle McDowell (20-5-1), both of whom were injured.

Derrick Banks (12-2), from Detroit, takes on Everton Davis, from Huntington Beach, Calif., who steps in for Albert Williams (16-1-1), of Newport News, Va.

Both heavyweight bouts are scheduled for 10 rounds.

On the undercard: Calvin Lampkins (Grand Prairie, Texas) faces an opponent to be determined; David Bostice (Mesa, Ariz.) vs. Clement Hassan (Sudan); Greg Dial (Portland) vs. Brian Wilson (Oklahoma City); and Para Draine (Spokane) vs. Brenda Rouse (Bartlesville, Okla.).

All are heavyweights except women’s flyweights Draine and Rouse.

NIC match canceled

North Idaho College’s wrestling match with Simon Fraser scheduled for Friday at Christianson Gym has been canceled because of numerous illnesses on the Simon Fraser team, NIC athletic director Jim Headley said.
