Johnson Leads UI To Victory

College women

Kelli Johnson scored 20 points to lead Idaho to a 78-69 victory over North Texas in a Big West women’s basketball game Friday in Denton, Texas.

The Vandals (10-12, 5-3 Big West) have won six of their last eight games.

Johnson moved into the top 10 in school history in points scored with 1,043, surpassing Ari Skorpik (1,031). She needs 14 points to tie Kelly Moeller (1,057) for eighth place.

Idaho plays at New Mexico State at 1 p.m. Sunday.
