Sports Banquet Celebrates 50 Years

Former San Francisco 49ers coach Bill Walsh will help the Inland Northwest Sports Banquet celebrate its 50th birthday tonight at the Ag Trade Center.

Walsh, who guided the 49ers to three Super Bowl championships, is the featured speaker for the golden anniversary banquet. A nohost social hour begins at 5:30 with dinner at 7.

The banquet and today’s Junior Awards Luncheon, also at the Ag Trade Center, are presented by the Greater Spokane Sports Association. The Inland Northwest Sportswriters and Broadcasters will present their annual athlete, coach and team of the year awards. Dennis Hull returns as master of ceremonies for the evening banquet. Bud Nameck will be the luncheon MC.
