Venus Lacy scored 23 points and Yolanda Griffith had 22 as the Long Beach StingRays came back to beat the Atlanta Glory 82-74 Saturday night.
Lacy, playing in front of many relatives who traveled 100 miles from Chattanooga, Tenn., to see the game, also had a game-high 12 rebounds. Clarissa Davis added 13 points for the playoff-bound StingRays (25-17).
Atlanta (15-28) was led by Stacey Lovelace and Saudia Roundtree, who each had 17 points. Player-coach Teresa Edwards had 15 and Katrina McClain added 13 for the Glory.
Long Beach built a lead of 30-18 with 4:35 left in the second quarter, but Atlanta managed to climb back to tie it 38-38 at halftime. The Glory had a 48-41 with 7:13 left in the third period.
