Fire Hydrant Missing From Cda Street
Police are investigating the disappearance of a fire hydrant from a Coeur d’Alene street corner.
It appears the hydrant at Third Street and Miller Avenue was struck by something and broken off at its metal base.
Part of the base still was bolted to the sidewalk. A plug that stops water before it enters the hydrant apparently still was in place.
City workers told police they do not known how long the hydrant has been missing. A service technician reported it missing Monday.
