Gonzaga Hires Former Star As Volleyball Aide
Kelley Cunningham Spink was hired as an assistant volleyball coach at Gonzaga University, sports information director Oliver Pierce said Tuesday.
Spink played at Gonzaga from 1989-92 after graduating from Lewis and Clark High School. She won Sports Festival gold medals in 1990 in Los Angeles and in 1992 in San Antonio, Texas. At Gonzaga, Spink shattered former teammate Lisa Petticord’s records for career (1,964) and single-season kills (651) on her way to earning the 1992 West Coast Conference player of the year.
Spink and her husband, Scott Spink, a former Gonzaga basketball player, currently live in San Diego.
