Racial Slur Claimed

California basketball coach Marianne Stanley, who drew national attention with her gender discrimination lawsuit against Southern Cal, is accused of using a racial slur during an argument at a school gym.

Ricky Marciano says in a lawsuit he was playing a pickup game at the UC Recreational Sports Facility when Stanley asked him to leave the court before his time was up. When he said no, she used a racial slur and lunged at him, and had to be restrained by several players, said the complaint, filed Thursday.

Marciano is black; Stanley is white.
