Dear Heloise: This is a plea for help. There must be others like me. I am still using a portable typewriter, vintage 1941, and neither electronic nor electric but manual. My problem is finding typewriter ribbons for my machine. Do you by any chance know where I might be able to procure ribbons? I’m sure you have tried the office-supply stores in your area, but have you looked in some of the mail-order office-supply catalogs? You may also want to check with office-equipment repair stores, especially ones that work on typewriters. They may be able to suggest where you can find the ribbon. As a last resort, if the manufacturer is still in business, you can contact them. Good luck. - Heloise
