Karen Arnzen is a hero to me, and to her daughter Annie. Annie is 3 years old, and has rheumatoid arthritis. People don’t think children can get arthritis, but rheumatoid arthritis is a blood disease. Its antibodies attack the joints, causing pain and swelling. Annie would amaze you with her spirit and determination. Her best painkillers are her Mommy and her thumb!

Karen draws on her faith in the Lord as she quietly goes about keeping Annie’s life normal. She has incredible strength and grace.

As parents, we don’t receive performance reviews, no marker to see how we are doing with this lifetime job. That is why I’d like people to know about my amazing friend Karen and what a blessing she truly is.
