Inspectors Condemn House

Building inspectors condemned a home after a section of rock foundation caved in, causing the floor to buckle beneath a sleeping woman early Sunday.

The tenant at 2317 E. Fourth was unharmed, firefighters said.

The 6-foot section of collapsed rock wasn’t the only culprit, however.

Firefighters said the home’s floor joists also are rotten.

No one will be allowed to live in the building until owner Mae Standal makes repairs, said Battalion Chief Joe Stapleton. , DataTimes
