North Idaho Residents Further Military Careers
Army National Guard Pvt. Dirk W. Fredekind, son of Carole and Stan Fredekind of Post Falls, and Army National Guard Pvt. James A. Ruskiewicz, son of Joanne Whitelaw of Hayden and James Ruskiewicz of Wisconsin, have graduated from One Station Unit Training (OSUT) at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
Soldiers completed basic military training and advanced individual training and received instruction in drill ceremonies, weapons, tactics, map reading, and military history, traditions, courtesy and justice as well as first aid.
Air Force Reserve Airman Eric R. Glasscock, son of Mr. and Mrs. Dwight Reber of Coeur d’Alene, has graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, Texas.
Glasscock received training in the Air Force mission, organization and customs and received special training in human relations and earned credits toward an associate degree through the Community College of the Air Force.
Army National Guard Pvt. Douglas F. Robinson III son of Teresa Henrichsen of Hayden Lake, Idaho, and Army Pvt. Ryan C. Nelson, son of Steve Nelson of Post Falls and Beryl Bonahoom of Montana, both recently completed basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Mo.
Soldiers studied first aid, drill and ceremonies, map reading, weapons, tactics, and military traditions, justice and history.
Air Force Airman Douglas J. McPherson son of Douglas and Loretta McPherson of Rathdrum, Idaho, has graduated from the utilities systems apprenticeship course at Sheppard Air Force Base, Texas.
McPherson studied water and waste treatment processes to operate and maintain treatment systems.
