Airway Heights Man Busted In Drug Raid

An Airway Heights man was arrested Thursday after police found 98 marijuana plants in his mobile home.

Michael R. North, 41, is being charged with felony possession of a controlled substance, Airway Heights police said.

After obtaining a search warrant for his home at 13527 W. 12th St., officers found dozens of plants at least 3 feet tall growing throughout the home.

“The house just reeked of marijuana,” said Sgt. Arthur L. Krumm of the Airway Heights Police Department.

The operation yielded about $90,000 a year, police estimated.

Officers seized the plants along with a pound of harvested pot, $7,000 in cash and several firearms. , DataTimes
