Bramlet-Led Lake City Overpowers Moscow, 69-53

High school basketball

Chad Bramlet’s hot shooting pushed Lake City to a 69-53 boys prep basketball win over Moscow in a non-league game Saturday at Lake City.

Bramlet scored a game-high 21 points on 6-of-9 shooting, and was 7 of 7 from the foul line. He also had six rebounds. Also for the T-Wolves (7-6), Jacob Lenz scored 15 points and had five assists.

Moscow fell to 7-2.

Mark Raebel finished with a game-high 18 points and 13 rebounds, including five points in the first minute of overtime, to help the Lumberjacks (6-4, 2-1) defeat the visiting Wildcats (5-6, 2-1).

The Wildcats made just 9 of 40 from the field and didn’t score in overtime.

The Vikings pulled away from the Bulldogs in a Border League game at Sandpoint.

Shaylia Davis scored eight of her game-high 13 in the fourth to lead the Viks (5-11 overall, 4-8 league).

Chrissy Ross added 12 points, including two 3-pointers, for the Bulldogs (3-14, 1-12).

The Bengals slipped past the Trojans (10-6, 8-5) at Lewiston after being tied at the end of the third quarter.

The Bengals shot 50 percent (15 of 30) from the field to improve to 7-9, 7-5. The Trojans shot only 14 of 41 from the field.

Janelle Ruen scored seven points with seven rebounds and five steals for the Trojans.

The first-place Bears stymied the cold-shooting Hawks (5-8, 3-3) at Moscow.

The Hawks hit 5 of 35 field goals and made only 7 of 17 from the free-throw line.

Anna Allen scored eight points and had five rebounds and six steals for the Bears (12-2, 5-0). All the Moscow players scored.

The Knights (11-3, 4-0) held off the Wampus Cats (8-7, 1-3) at Lakeside as Clark Fork shot just 4 of 37 from the field.

The Knights’ Mary Kolar added a game-high 12 points, with eight rebounds and seven steals. Teammate Michelle Kelly had nine points, eight rebounds and five steals.
