State Issues Loan To Area Water District

Rocky Beach Water District near Spirit Lake was issued a $30,000 loan from the Idaho Water Resources Board to construct a new well and connect it into the existing water system.

The Water Resources Board approved five loans and grants totaling nearly $95,000 for water projects around the state Friday. The board also raised the interest rate it charges on loans to 6 percent, a 1 percent increase.

The board turned down a grant request from the Honeysuckle Hills Owners Association in Hayden and a loan request from Drainage District No. 7 of Bonner County.
